TTC update

April

My husband and I got married in 2009. When we first got married, having children wasn’t high priority for us. We weren’t even sure if we wanted kids.

A year ago, we decided to begin our TTC journey. Unfortunately we still haven’t had any success.

Last January we began scheduling doctors appointments as to why we haven’t gotten pregnant.

My husband has done two Semen Analysis done. Both tests came back 0 sperm. His doctor thinks he may have a blockage in his testicles. My husband also has a appointment with his urologist on June 26th to possibly get a ultrasound to see what the issue is.

My husband had a doctors appointment with his doctor. His doctor took a look at his testicles, which suggested that it looks like he may have a blockage that is preventing sperm to be released into the penis. We will see how accurate that is until after the 26th.

I’ve taken 8 blood tests to see if I had Diabetes or PCOS. I have a family history of both. I had a doctors appointment yesterday, to go have my annual breast exam and Pap smear. My doctor told me that my blood tests came back normal, I don’t have diabetes or PCOS. My sugar, testosterone and carbohydrates levels were all good !!

My doctor did tell me that there is a local Women’s Clinic where I live that does program that helps couples with conceiving a child. The whole program is $2,000 and we would have to use donor sperm, and I would have to take Clomid during ovulation etc. I don’t know all the details on how the program actually works.

Depending on what my husbands urologist says will determine what route we will have to take.

I have looked into how adoption works here in Oregon. Unfortunately the State of Oregon isn’t a foster to adopt state. If we decided to adopt, it’s a 2 year process and a expensive one at that.
