My period is 3 days late and I tested this morning but got a negative? It’s only been late once and I’m just confused..

This is my situation right now, I’m 3 days late and took a test this morning and it was negative. I’m never late and there’s nothing that could cause it to be late. So I’m gonna wait another few days and test again! Good luck to you too!

I got a positive result the day after a missed period (cycle day 29), so I’m not sure the below is necessarily correct. However, test again in a day or two, and use first morning urine. For best results, you should check with your physician. Periods can be late for other reasons, such as stress or failure to ovulate that cycle, but most commonly the reason is pregnancy. I’ve missed a period because I didn’t ovulate, but by the time the next period would have been due, it came. I’ve also missed a period twice from pregnancy. Good luck!

You dont get a positive result until roughly 7 days after a missed period.
