So me and my boyfriend have been seeing each other just under a year expecting our first baby in a few months, he’s Muslim and I’m white and non Muslim. Anyway couldn’t get hold of my boyfriend and was worried and my mother offered to go see if he’s okay while I was working. Anyway apparently his mum told my mum I have to convert and marry him (which I was planning to do anyway in the future) and that he and I have brought shame to their family because we had sex and conceived before marriage and especially since we’re having a girl. And I know that makes him feel like shit and also makes me feel bad, I don’t know how I’m going to meet them for the first time and how I’ll get treated after they’ve said such hurtful things
