Advice on going from having only one baby to #2 soon??

I am almost due with our second child and don’t know how anythings going to work with my toddler :,( I feel like how can I give him attention he needs? How can I do everything for him if I’m tending to a new little baby? He’s 2.5 years old and very clingy to me. How do you go from 1 to 2?

There will be times that both of your kids are crying and need your attention simultaneously. Sometimes, you will have to turn to your baby and say something like "you need to wait a minute because I have to help your big brother right now." That will help show your toddler that you're not choosing between them, but that you are giving your attention to both of your children. Sometimes the toddler will have to wait while you tend to baby, but sometimes baby will have to wait while you tend to the toddler.

My advice? Relax. Everything will work out. Give yourself time to adjust to the new family routine, but you'll probably roll with it in a week or 3. Yes you will love your second baby just as much as you loved your first, yes you will love your first just as much as before. You'll do great!

following! When my #2 comes, my son will be ~2.5yrs and he is very much a mama's boy. Not sure how he's going to deal with my attention being split between his sister and him.
