Breastfeeding moms- how long does your baby eat?

My baby is 1 month and is eating for about 45 minutes-an hour still. My lactation consultant said this is fine as she's still learning to eat. Just wondering when I can expect her to get a hang of things because I'd like the process to speed up 😂

😳 I feel like the odd ball lol My girl is about 5-7 minutes on 1 boob. She typically doesn’t want the second breast until next feeding, about 2 hours later.  Of course, this changes here and there but that is our general feedings.

Sometimes my 7 week old will feed for 10 minutes each side, sometimes it's 30 minutes each side. I think it depends on how determined she is to get the milk out quickly, while sometimes she leisurely nurses while half falling asleep. I think it varies from baby to baby though.

My 5 week old nurses for 6-10 mins on one side and doesn’t want the other side until next feeding usually 3-4hours.. I have high supply and strong let down so she seems to be satisfied with 10mins it less on one boob 🤷🏼‍♀️ her pediatrician said that’s fine because she’s gaining weight

Same- sometimes my 4w old will Do 6-10 min, but if it’s during the day and we’re getting ready to leave the house. I start nursing 30m before we need to leave.

My 6 week old was that way until last week. Now he’s at 15 mins each side.

My baby girl is a month old and she goes 28 min at the most but she comfort nurse and nurse herself to sleep so sometimes 45 min and more

Mine would take close to an hour every time! It got to be too frustrating for me so now I just pump and bottle feed and she’s done in about 15 minutes.

Our 4 week old generally feeds for between 7-60minutes. The feeds where she’s on longer she’s generally not feeding as much as soothing herself. With breastfeeding you also need to keep in mind they also use the breast to satisfy their sucking/soothing need not just hunger.

My 3wk old eats anywhere from 5-20min with 1-4hrs in between. I'm an on-demand feeder, but we've been averaging 10min a side though. (If he eats for 5min, it's typically 1hr in between; or 20min before bed or after a nap.) I pump and freeze every few days to build a supply and estimate how much he's eating every feeding.

My daughter has some reflux issues. Nothing we can use medication for because it’s not extreme...so it takes us a good hour or more sometimes between feeding, burping and sitting her up to help her tummy. 
When she snacks it’s like 10 minutes
