Third degree tear recovery

Anyone who has had a third degree tear, how long did it take to heal? It’s been a week and I woke up this morning and it was very swollen down there! It does not look infected or anything, just very swollen and painful! I’m wondering if anyone has some advice or tips on how to help with recovery! I have been using my squirt bottle, I bought a sitz bath but only used it once and I have been trying to air out 4 times a day, which is what my doctor recommended. Any other recommendations?
