Wash at home or laundry service?

My husband and me both like the idea of cloth diapering, but we don't entirely agree on how to do it. I feel it's quite manageable to wash the diapers myself at home while he feels we should have a laundry service. So I was just wondering what all you wonderful moms do and why you made the choice that you did.

Before I knew I much, I thought diaper service would be the way to go, it was just the more expensive option. Now that I know how easy it is, I WAY prefer the at home washes. The reality is, even with a diaper service, you still have to spray out the diapers (once baby eats solids, which is the majority of their diaper wearing time span). There is really no point in spraying them and then putting them out for someone to pickup when the wash routine is soo simple.

The laundry is not a big deal. If someone else would change my baby’s diapers for me, however... 😜

I've cloth diapered for over two years now with two kids. I do all of my laundry at home. The thought of a laundry service never really crossed my mind, nor would I have wanted that. I just wash diapers every other day. Never really been very difficult or very time consuming.

We did a laundry service to start for a few months as a shower gift, then started to do it ourself.

It’s an extra load of laundry.  Not really a big deal to me.  I’ve been cloth diapering since my oldest was in diapers and he’s 10 now.  I’ve had two kiddos in diapers when him and my second were younger.  Now I just have one baby in diapers.  I wash every 3 days and that’s only 2 times a week.  So not a big deal.

To be honest I’d love for someone else to wash my diapers. Plus the service in my town provides the prefolds for you and they’re always stain free fwiw. That said, we wash at home!
