Soreness after working out

Any tips on how to lessen soreness after a workout? I just recently started working out again so my body’s not used to it. I was able to push through and do my ab workout today despite soreness. But I couldn’t do the leg workout because they’re sore (I did attempt and after like 2 squats I was like oop ok legs aren’t gonna bend like that today 😂).
