Got BFP after having a CT and surgery. Should I be worried?

I had an emergency appendectomy two and a half weeks ago. Before the CT they had me take a pregnancy urine test. I told them it would be way too early to test, and it came back negative. I had the surgery, everything is fine there. But today, with my period 5 days late I got this guy. I’m going to call my dr. Should I even considered this viable?

Scaring of the wounds of not healed, I’m so worried I will miscarry, I’m already at high risk as I’m 36 m, I’m sure your fine, but was told may experience more pain as the baby grows, where I had the surgery

Yes you should consider it viable.  People have wine, occasional cigs and take certain prescription meds in the first month or two before they know or can get in with a doctor to put them in safer alternatives.   If you were negative two weeks ago, this is a very early pregnancy and to be frank, had your appendix of became so infected it burst, you could have easily died from peritonitis and/or sepsis.  It’s great timing that your appendix started to act up before your +! Haha. Congrats!
