Provera

Has anyone ever been on provera & if so, did it work for you?

I finished my last pill last Friday. Today is my 4th day without the pill & I have no signs of AF coming.

I got on the pill to regulate my cycles because I have only had around 3-4 periods in 3 whole years because of a history of a brain tumor & 2 pregnancies. I am 8 months post partum & I quit breastfeeding him at 6 months pp.

I literally Always spot. Sometimes brown, pink or even red but it never turns into an actual period.

I still produce milk & sometimes still even leak.

My doctor thinks it’s all do to a hormone imbalance. So he prescribed me provera because at this point I WANT my period to come to feel normal. But it hasn’t came yet.

I’m really starting to get discouraged.

I went to have a checkup yesterday & the doctor said even if I don’t get my period, he still wants me to take provera for 10 days each month for 4 months.

At this point, I don’t even know if it’s gonna work. Any advice?
