I know everyone's relationship is different depending on life circumstances.

My partner and I have been together for two and half years. We are madly in love and I moved in instantly after we met. We even joked about eloping then lol. But we both want an actual wedding party.

In this stage of our relationship we are so solid. Our communication is amazing and we both trust each other and we have surpassed our differences and learned to accept each other for who we are but have also changed ourselves to be better partners for each other. My family loves him and his adores me.

Im trying to not press so hard about getting engaged or rushing to the next step even though I am ready for it and just ready to do the damn thing. I know he loves me and he has reassured me plenty that we are building a future together and he wants me to be his wife and mother of his children..

Maybe because we are in a good place, I'm just like, okay what's next and he probably is enjoying this stage before the madness of creating a family and planning a wedding, not to mention the financial stuff....

He's not where he wants to be financially so is that why he's not asking? But I mean are we ever where we want to be financially in life? Lol

Id honestly be happy with a 25 cent ring if he proposed lol.

How do I fight this feeling of wanting it so badly and stop being so desperate for it.
