Just looking to talk! Tell me about where you live!

I love hearing about other areas! Tell me what it’s like! I’ve never been out of my home state. I live in Alaska. The closest BIG city to me is over a 7 hour drive away. The summer weather is beautiful...but the long hours of daylight SUCKS (it’s the only thing I hate about this time of year)! For example...sunrise was at 2:58 this MORNING. Sunset tonight is at 12:45am. Yep...over 21 hours of continuous daylight. And it’s getting longer still! Winter is my favorite. I love it when the sun doesn’t come up until almost 11am and sets before 2:45pm. Less than 4 hours of daylight! Winter is cold (below zero, most of the time) but the jacket doesn’t get zipped if the temperature is above zero!

Lots of wildlife, too! I love hiking. It’s not uncommon to see deer, reindeer, wolves, bears, and moose while you’re out in the woods. We have an occasional moose in our yard as well!

I would not want to live anywhere else. I love my home. But I would love to travel some day. Anywhere in Hawaii, San Francisco, Chicago, and Florida are on my bucket list! I would love to go somewhere where you can swim in the ocean and not freeze 😂
