When to go to hospital with vbac in labour?

How long can I stay at home in labour before going to the hospital? How do I know when it's time to go? 
I have no experience of contractions.

I would ask your doctor but mine told me if my water breaks to get freshened up and head on in no crazy rush. Or if I’m having contractions with the 511 rule and I’m not talking through them and struggling. She said I’ll know when I need to go 🤷🏼‍♀️ Ive never had a contraction so I’m just trusting that I’ll know it’s time like everyone keeps saying lol

My last two labors took 30+ hours. It’s so hard to know early on. But it gets very rhythmic. And honestly until it feels like your going to poo out a baby, you’re not that close 😂

i went into labor at 9:30 at night... by the time i got to the hospital at 12:00 midnight my water broke and i felt the need to start pushing... mine was so fast 😳 he was born at 12:30am
