Would you attend??

My husband and I previously talked about traveling to New York to attend the Caribbean Carnival ParadeHe’s been to one without me before and he said it was a lot of fun so I said why not. 
The Caribbean carnival is a cultural parade, But to be honest a lot of people attend to see women walk around in bedazzled 2 pieces. Now I know that the parade is all about celebrating the Caribbean culture, but my husband already admitted that the cultural aspect is nice, but he’s there to see the women in costumes. Now this year they are bringing the parade to our city, Chicago and he’s already asked if I wanted to go with him. But something about knowing he’ll be looking at women that live in proximity to us kind of bothers me now... is that weird? I was completely okay with traveling to New York for the experience, but now that I know he may be ogling at women in our hometown I just feel.... different about it. He’s really excited about it and I hate to tell him no since I was up for it before, but idk. Am I just being insecure?? Should I just go and stop overthinking?

I’d definitely want to go along as well. It’s a very cool and fun festival. Honestly the women are beautiful and the costumes are outstanding. The music and the vibe are so great. Sharing this experience would be awesome

If all he’s doing is looking then that no big deal. He’s not touching or talking to them. If you know where you stand with him then it shouldn’t be an issue. Both of you go and have fun!

It’s not unreasonable for you to feel insecure. The woman in those pictures really are beautiful omg ✊🏾 😭 but yea I think you should talk to him and tell him how you feel. If he respects you, then he may reason with you. I wouldn’t want my man to go either and he wouldn’t if I told him how I felt. It’s worth a try.

I mean - rude that he said that the reason he wants to go is to look at them. But if he’s faithful and all he is doing is looking 🤷🏼‍♀️ idk. I wouldn’t care much. I live by a beach and know my Husband likes to look at ladies dressed in skimpy bikinis. I also trust him and know he would never do anything other than look briefly though. I wouldn’t tell him we can never go to beach again because he might look and have an opportunity. If he wants to cheat - stopping him from a beach or parade won’t stop him. But it will lead to divorce. 
So it’s up to you and what you are comfortable with. I personally wouldn’t care and still go as long as he knows looking is the only thing he gets to do since he’s all yours.

It’s not like the woman live in your neighborhood, when you saw home town you make it seem like a small city lol.. Chicago is huge and honestly I don’t see the difference if you agree to go to New York for one but you aren’t comfortable in Chicago one. I’m pretty fit and not insecure about my body so it wouldn’t bother me but I am pregnant and as of now I would be insecure going to that event with my husband 😭

Tell him how you feel and why it’s different btwn the locations...seems maybe there’s something more going on there that the two of you should talk out. You’ll feel much better by being honest and may get reassurance from him too.
