More ounces when mixed formula??

Question

Hello! I am a formula feeding momma. I noticed when accurately mixing the water and formula (similac probsensitive) I end up getting more ounces when the formula is added. I am adding the correct amount each time. Is there something else I should be doing?
I just got the dr browns formula mixer to use also and I made 24 oz with them 12 scoops formula and it ended up being close to 28 ounces then!

Its okay. As long as you have all the water first. It does say it on the instructions that this will happen

Its called water displacement and it happens with everything you put in water

That’s the displacement from the powder. It’s fine as long as you are doing it as the directions tell you too ie 1 scoop to 2 oz
