Any tips on flying with a 3 month old?

We will be flying sometime in July. I'll just be bringing her diaper bag with our clothes in it. And I'll either be wearing her or have her in the umbrella stroller haven't decided yet. Just wondering if there's anything that'll help make the trip smoother?

I just got back from vacation with my 3.5 month old. We flew from Minnesota to Orlando and back and everything went smooth for the most part. I did a lot of research in advance. 
1. Wear your baby in a carrier through security. You will have to put the car seat and the stroller through the scanner or have it hand checked without the baby in it so you will have to take the out regardless. So wearing them just makes it easier. 
2. If you breast feed you can take as many bottles of pumped milk though security ( they don’t have to be 3 oz or less, you can put as much milk in each bottle as you want). They will have to check them just ask them to wear clean gloves. If you formula feed you can’t bring bottles water through security. But we just asked the flight attendant for water as soon as we got on the plane for a bottle and they gave it to us before we even got seated. We breastfeed and use formula so I needed to know what to do with both. 
3. If you do breastfeed there are usually Mother’s rooms at the airport to nurse or pump if needed. 
4. When you take off either give them a paci or feed them. We could never work out the feeding at the time of take off or landing, she was always hungry before then but a paci worked just fine.
5. Bring a change of clothes for both you and baby in case of a blow out. We found this out the hard way. We brought extra clothes for baby but all our clothes were in our checked bags and my daughter was sitting on my husbands lap with shorts on and had a silent blow out that came out her shorts and was all over my husband. Luckily we found a companion bathroom to rinse out his shorts and had a tide stick with and I dried them in the women’s bathroom with the hand dryer.

Change baby’s diaper in the bathroom right before you board to try to avoid changing on the plane bc there isn’t much room. Bring a change of clothes in case of a blowout. Bring more diapers, wipes, and milk than you think you will need. Use a paci clip because you really don’t want to drop a paci on the plane floor. Try try try your best to take a direct flight. Worth the extra money! Don’t drink any water yourself so that you don’t have to pee!! Hope for the best but in the end, as long as you make it onto the plane and those plane doors close you are going to make it there one way or another. Honestly, flying with a baby is WAY easier than flying with a toddler.

We flew to NYC with our 3 month old son. We got him baby earmuffs for plane and it helped a lot! I would advise to get a bag for your stroller/carseat so it doesn’t get dirty/destroyed as they put it in a plane. Our uppababy stroller got some scratches even if we had it in a bag. They let me take my pumping bag without any extra charge as it was considered as medical device. Other than that, i had his diaper bag and my personal item.

I'm flying in July also. We took our first on a plane when she was 2 months old. I took her car seat and was allowed to have it on the plane if the flights weren't full (we flew Southwest...no assigned seats), so I would recommend asking at the gate if you can do that. I took a couple of bottles even though I was breastfeeding and the boppy so I could hold her more comfortably during the flight. Also, I would try my best to not have to change a diaper on the plane. The changing tables are either tiiiiny out nonexistent.
