“She’s not as fat as before.”

My client brought her mother and grandmother to her hair appointment (already a 🙄 moment) but then about 20 minutes into the appointment the grandma in Spanish says that I look skinnier and that I’m not as fat as the last time she saw me. And that is good I haven’t gotten fatter during my pregnancy.

My client not thinking I understand says, “oh she said you lost a lot of weight and that you look really good.”

I wanted to be like no I actually haven’t lost or gained weight, but I’m glad I don’t look as fat to you, bitch.

But I kept quiet and just said thanks.

Why do people think they can say whatever they want to pregnant women.
