Did you use a Postpartum Girdle/Shapewear?

I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions on postpartum shape wear. 
As much as I’d love to look good postpartum, what I really want from a tool like that is support for everything in my body to go back to the way it was prepregnancy. 
Are these things safe? Do they work? Are they wort it? What kind did you use/ recommend?

My doctor told me not to wear one. I had a c section and usually people like to wear them. I took my doctor’s advice. I healed very well and don’t have flab or anything like that.

As the hospital staff for a compression band! Mine was amazing and just helped hold everything together lol

Gained 65lbs, had a c section, wore the girdle for maybe 5 days.... read somewhere about it preventing your abdominals muscles from forming faster 🤷🏼‍♀️

I didn’t because I wasn’t in a hurry to get my body back to the way it was, I wanted to focus on my daughter and husband

I plan on buying a typical waist trainer that you can find anywhere, and not start wearing it immediately after birth

I use an actual postpartum wrap because with my last and this baby I'll be having a c section and it honestly just helps the feeling of keeping everything together. Doesnt make so sore to get up etc. Its not to help lose the weight or anything to do with the weight or belly.

I didn't because I thought it was best to just let everything be, so it could naturally return to normal. I know some people get them because they like the added support, I didn't feel like I needed that. I also had a c-section, so having anything on or near my incision was painful/uncomfortable.

I didn’t use anything. I just nursed my daughter, ate well, stayed hydrated, kept taking prenatals and started working out after my pp bleeding stopped. Lost all of the 50 lbs I gained. Then I got pregnant when she was 6-7 months- ready to do it all over again in a cpl months 😊

I loved my abdominal wrap. I had a c-section, and it helped me move without pain. 🤷🏻‍♀️
