I get dry spots of skin down there, what should I do?

Sometimes when I shave, I small dry spots of skin where my public hair grows. Sometimes it itches but I’m not sure if that’s because I just shaved. I do have scalp psoriasis so I’m not sure if it would affect me down there. It usually doesn’t last for a long time. Could it be just dry skin or something more?
