More and more mothers are choosing to eat their placentas after giving birth for the nutrients. It has been said that it can help with postpartum depression, milk supply, and give back many nutrients that were taking during pregnancy. Although some scientists say there is little to no research to back up these claims.

There is also some serious risks like, infections, exposure to heavy metals, and blood clots.
