For the mamas who have their baby in a pack n play. Do you have to pack n play high with the bassinet insert or do you have it low with just the mattress?

My son got to long for his bassinet so I bought a pack n play. I had the bassinet insert in but read somewhere that it is not recommended after 15 lbs. My son just hit 17 lbs so I moved he mattress down but  it feels weird having him so low!

If he can roll or sit it really should be in the lower position anyway.

I know I may get judged for this but what I did was use her crib mattress since she didn’t/ wouldn’t sleep in her crib. I cut the length tight fitting and put tight fitting sheets on it and put it down in the pack n play and it works excellent. She absolutely loves it and it’s not too high and not to low it’s just right 😊

My daughters well over 15 pounds but she’s still in the high position. Once she can pull her self up the well move her down like we did our son who got moved down at 7 months

Once my daughter started rolling and sitting is when i changed her to her crib but if i didnt have it i wouldve had to put her on the bottom of the pack n play. Even in her crib she rolls over and tries to go places lol

Pack and play (lowered) with just a quilted sheet for a couple months. Just started sleeping thru the night!
