Why questions

Am I the only one who is still patiently waiting when their kid start to ask “why”? All the kids I have known in my life had a phase of “why questions”. Our almost three years old has yet to do it. She will ask questions: “what is it?” Or “where is someone? Where is something?” But NEVER why. Is it normal? Should I start worrying? She does speak slightly worse than her pears as she is multilingual, can it be reason? Her pediatrician really is not helpful when it comes to speech and social development.

Does your September baby asks you why? If so, when did s/he start?

Could you please give me some insight on their speech development?
