Anyone else terrified about dry drowning?

My LO does swim lessons and likes to stick his face in the water. The instructor said to let him do it so I do. Today he choked on some water and it came out his nose and his mouth it made me nervous. So naturally I looked up the signs of dry drowning and it's made me even more nervous! Every little thing he does I get panicked! Of course I have emailed the pediatrician and I'm sure he thinks I'm nuts lol

My 8 month old also takes swim lessons and they have been putting his head underwater for several weeks now. They always watch to make sure he’s not taking in water in his mouth, but it’s so fast that I don’t know how sure they are that it’s closed?? So yeah, I’ve worried about it a time or two myself. Google searches are my frenemy. 
I just signed him for ISR lessons (survival swimming basically) and while he hasn’t even had his first class yet, I was reading through the information that they gave me, and it said that they will place the baby on their left side poolside immediately after the class is over, for a few minutes. In ISR, they have the possibility to take on a lot of water - more so than a regular swimming class. I can’t remember why the left side at this moment, but you may want to research that and also, if you’re concerned after his class, also place your baby on his left side??? I know I will be considering that from now on.

It does worry me a bit, mostly cause my baby won’t stop drinking the water in the tub 😑 it’s literally all she will do. She has like 400 toys in there and she is constantly just bending over slurping up water. I don’t know if this is normal behaviour or not

My baby does swim lessons the instructor put her underwater and “throws” her to me. And we “dive” her in. If you dunk them head first in - head first out it reduces any water that might go up their nose.
