How do afford to be a SAHM?

Question

How many kids do you have and how do you afford to stay home? We are expecting #2 and I would love to not have to go back to work after they arrive. Give advice!

I have 1 on the way. I’m 13 weeks, and have been buying diapers with every paycheck. Where I live, the Bay Area childcare costs my entire income so it’s pointless for me to work and pay for childcare. I am a nanny who does school drop offs and pick ups so I am planning on doing that, while having my baby with me too.

I worked full-time for the first two years of my first child’s life since I was making the biggest chunk of our income. I was able to stay home when she turned two because my husband got a promotion at work and a large pay raise. 
It was tight for a while but then I started working from home very part time (like 10-15 hours a week) while my toddler napped. It was only a few extra hundred dollars a month, but it made the difference we needed. 
Now I’m pregnant with my second and he just got a huge raise and is making six figures. I don’t have to work anymore but I enjoy it so I will probably keep working until my baby comes. We’ve been extremely blessed and my husband works so hard!

I've been a SAHM since I was pregnant with our first child, so 7 years. We're pregnant with baby #4. Still able to do so. I have gone back to work sporadically if needed.

I am expecting our second and the best thing to do is budget.  Cut out needless spending (eating out, subscriptions unneeded shopping etc)    theres no motivation like your babies.     Thankfully my husband does work a lot of overtime but based on his 40hr check we have everything budgeted to a T

Save all Your money now.... and change your spending habits.... see if you can live off his check for a month or Two...maybe sell a car... less for insurance.... get rid of cable... fire stick is an awesome alternative... 
with childcare for two I would be working to pay for that with like an extra $300 a month.... we decided it wasn’t worth it and now I stay home.... I love it most days.... some days are lonely

We have an 8 year old and I'm 24 weeks pregnant. My husband makes 70,000 a year and I dog sit at home so we get by just fine. He pays for the day to day stuff and my money all goes to savings for emergencies, Christmas, birthdays, and vacations.

Because it would take my entire paycheck as a teacher to pay for childcare and I would rather raise my own child than work to simply pay for childcare. (Not that I think working as a mom is wrong but if I’m literally making no money it’s not worth it to me. Even if I did I would rather stay home with my baby).

Have one and expecting number two. I have been a SAHM coming up on three years in the next two months or so. My husband makes really good money which is the only way we can do it. I plan to go back to work tho as soon as I’m comfortable sending this little babe to daycare. Not even money wise. Sanity wise🙃🙃😂😂 love my kids more than anything and love staying home but I am ready ready ready to get back to an “adult” life lol.

My husband does his best to provide and we spend a lot of time with family so that’s “free fun” for us and sometimes my mom will feed us dinner since we all hang out so much. We make it work. I live without some things like new clothes and such and we just focus our money on what’s important like food and bills. It’s always been the plan for me to stay home so my husbands been working towards a job that provides well and we live below our means.

On our 3rd child and a few months after our sevond was born  (who is just over a year now) was when we decided for me to stay home. Our sitter couldnt sit anymore and we couldnt afford daycare. Right now we have WIC and live paycheck to paycheck. Its okay for the most part  but it gets hard. All i know that if i was working i would be paying for  only and its not worth it
