My fiancé didn’t ask, and nor did I. We just woke up one morning and decided we wanted to get married in Hawaii on 10.10.20 :) times are changing and if it works for your relationships it doesn’t matter. 
He is still going to “propose” before our wedding date, but we’ve literally already booked everything and sent save the dates.

My husband and I just decided to get married. We also decided no rings but he surprised me by asking me to marry him the day we went to the court house to get married lol and he had a ring!
It doesn't matter how it happens as long as both parties are happy and in love :)

Who cares who asks? It’s 2019. My husband and I got married in 2009 and I remember we were in a car driving and I just said “we should get married”, then we talked about it and decided we would. He did though “ask” when he got me an engagement ring lol and even got on one knee, it was cute I think he did it just because he thought it was expected.

I think the guy typically asks IF the girl has given clear signals that she wants to get married (otherwise it's creepy or uncomfortable). Has your guy given you signals that he wants to get married? If so, go for it! If not, have a few more conversations with him before you pop the question.

I think times have changed I've heard about plenty of women who asked however that is not how I would want to do it but to each their own
