Who decided on a name when their baby was born?

Like, you may have had names chosen already but weren’t 100% set on one until you seen them after they were born. 
Or you only had one name for sure the whole time.

I really think that names suit people so I plan to have a few names picked and then decide when we meet baby. Also part of the reason we decided not to find out the gender. Easier to not be set in stone that way. :)

We went back and forth and almost settled on Tristan for our first son but the more I said it and thought about it I didn’t like it and it didn’t feel right. So we changed it and he ended up being named after his father. Currently pregnant with our second son and we went back and forth again as well for a long time, I finally came across Noah and it just felt right it was like it was meant for him I brought it up to him and he loved it. As for his middle name my husbands childhood best friend who was more like a brother to him had passed away so his first name is our sons middle name.

Both our kids weren’t named till the day after they were born, this is my 3rd and we will do the same!

We had 3 we liked and decided about 8 or so hours after the baby was born.

Our son got his name at his anatomy scan(first name anyways) his middle didnt happen until 26 weeks when I told his dad if he didnt help me and agree on something I would write down the first name I thought of when he was born.😂

We have a name chosen and we've been calling him that since we knew his gender ("the baby" felt wayy too impersonal for us, we wanted to name him already). It will most certainly be his name at birth. At this point it IS his name. Same feeling as when you meet someone on the street and they tell you their name and you just accept that feeling of "this is them, their name is ___". If that makes any sense lol

My boyfriend suggested our daughters name when she was born and at first I didn't like it. Then I reconsidered it and he refused to go with the choice. Anyway long story short, in the end he gave in.
