My husband and I are leaving Saturday for a trip back to our hometowns to spend July 4th with our families. We do not get to visit them often as my husband is active duty military. We also just found out we are pregnant with our first baby! I got a positive test result yesterday and next week, when we see our families, I will be about 4 weeks pregnant. I know it is so early..and we literally just found out, but when should we tell our news to our families? I’m stuck on wanting to share with everyone when we’re home because we will get to tell everyone in person rather than have to share our exciting news through the phone, 1,800 miles away. I’m not sure the next time we will get the chance to travel home again (most likely Christmas) and by that point I’d be 6 months along!

Should we tell our families when we’re only 4 weeks along, or wait and make a phone call when we’re further along?
