How to take care of an overdose at home ???

So my friend her & her bf got into it & she took 11 Flagyl pills she was prescribed it was 500mg. She can’t go to the hospital because she doesn’t want them to keep her she didn’t mean to do it. She threw up once at 8 am she did it around 12am. How can i help her out at home she is feeling better pooping & everything hasn’t threw up since.

How did she not mean to take 11 pills? If she truly is overdosing she needs to go to the hospital, there is no home remedy that anyone in their right mind would suggest.

Agreed, there is no home remedy. Go to the ER. This is a safety issue.

She did mean to take the pills. Although I’m not sure taking antibiotics will kill you they will probably make her very sick. She does need professional help if an argument leads to her overdosing on pills.

She may not have meant to now, but no one 'doesn't mean' to take that many pills.  Take it from someone who nearly did it three times herself...  
She took them at that moment with a purpose even though she regretted it later.  And the fact that she justified it in her mind and decided to take all these pills after having a fight with her boyfriend shows that she has a serious problem and needs to see a doctor instead of ignoring the issue by trying to treat it herself.

Flagyl, as in the antibiotic? Get her some baby wipes for the diarrhea and monostat for the yeast infection she will more than likely get. She will have a very upset stomach for a while, but she should be ok.

I’m sorry but I don’t buy the “she didn’t mean to”. Nobody accidentally takes 11 pills unless they have a memory issue. Sounds like she got super upset over the argument with her boyfriend. She needs to go to the hospital and she needs to get help. She sounds like she has some deeper issues going on and as her friend you need to make sure she goes to the hospital. Should could have died.

pretty sure Flagyl wont hurt anything, except give you diarrhea. call poison control to confirm pretty sure you will be fine. probably need to see someone for the suicidal thoughts though...
