Has anyone experienced becoming allergic to something you were never allergic to before your pregnancy?

I have 10 piercings (got all before my pregnancy) and never had a single problem but since having her I’ve gotten a flat piercing that did not heal any after 5 months so I removed it and got a helix (or cartilage) piercing and after 2 weeks it’s still very sore. Have I maybe become allergic to stainless steel? Idk what to do about it

I had the opposite happen. I was allergic to my white gold rings because white gold is commonly reinforced with nickel since it’s such a soft metal. I was unable to wear my wedding rings for more than a few hours without developing a rash. Then suddenly, while pregnant I noticed it no longer happened any more. I’m over 20 months postpartum and have never had another issue; I can wear my rings for days at a time without any reaction. If pregnancy can take away a metal allergy I don’t see why it can’t give you one too🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes. Cinnamon toothpaste. Always used it before then I got pregnant and where it ran down my chin and neck I got huge welts that itches me to death.

About 3 months after having my first and only child, I developed eczema on my hands. I’ve never had it before but it got REALLY bad and I had to go to a doctor and get medicine to tame it. My sons 2 now and it’s almost completely gone and I only have small flare ups every once in a while but it seems like it was definitely the pregnancy that did it.

I became allergic to pineapple after my first pregnancy. I’m literally not allergic to a single thing, but fresh pineapple makes my tongue swell up now. I can eat it cooked, but not fresh.

Paint.  Uve always painted inside my house and such. After having my second daughter 2 years ago if I paint or my husband and even paints a room in the house and keeps it closed off I feel my nose burn and throat. Then within a few days I end up with a sinus infection or once bronchitis after. Never had this issue before. Ever.
