Boyfriends family...

So I’ve been with my boyfriend for about a month and a half now and for the Fourth of July he wants me to come to a party at his grandma’s. This would include all of his cousins and uncles and all his family really. He says I’d be put in a weed rotation. Which I smoke, I’m fine with that part but I’m not sure about smoking with his FAMILY, a bunch of people I don’t know.

He really wants me to be there, and I want to be there for him, but the whole thing sounds like a social anxiety trigger to me. I mean, I don’t even like going to my own family gatherings. What should I do? Do I go with him?
