Vasectomy?

My husband and I are thinking about him getting a vasectomy. I'm just wanting to hear your guys stories and what exactly does it entitle to get it done?

It’s not a ‘quick fix’ as such. He will still have live swimmer for the next 8 -10 weeks after so he prepared to use other birth control methods. He will also be expected to expel the old live semen many times over the 10 weeks, whether through protected sex or masturbation.
The procedure is simple, but recovery is uncomfortable and let’s face it, Men can’t handle pain like women can. He should be fully recovered after 3 weeks. One week off work after the procedure would be good, but may not be necessary.
Also make sure he gets his sample tested after 8-10 weeks. My husband still had live sperm after 10 weeks so he had to get tested another 2 times. It took over 3 months all up to get a clear result.
It’s not 100% guaranteed to work as sometime the tubes reassemble themselves after time or the operation isn’t successful.
All I can say is MAKE SURE HE GETS TESTED before you give up the birth control.

My late husband had one after three children with his first wife. The procedure itself wasn’t a big deal but the healing is rough and he also was unlucky ending up with a blocked vein that sent him to the hospital in an ambulance. That was a rare possibility so don’t let that scare you. My brother also had it done with no issues. He used many bags of frozen peas over a few day period with a quick recovery. I highly suggest it.
