Dreft or regular soap?

Hi ladies
As I start collecting more clothing items for my little one I want to start washing and getting stuff put away because the weeks are dwindling down!!
I’m getting A LOT of mix reviews! Some people say use draft for the first year...some people say don’t worry and just use my regular soap.
What do you already moms suggest?
What are you soon to be moms doing?

I've been told to use Free & Clear from any brand. It is scent free which is good for their sensitive skin. It's also much cheaper than Dreft. 👏😊

I will add what everyone is saying, All “free and clear”! I work in dermatology and dreft is actually not recommend due to the fragrance and dyes. We love All for our babies and eczema patients.

I thought I was doing the right thing with dreft with my now two year old. He was having eczema issues and the doctor asked what I was using. I told her Johnson and Johnson products and dreft. She said both of those products have fragrance and that I should be using free and clear. I now use free and clear (mostly all). Baby soaps are all dye and fragrance free. Will keep doing the same for the next two on the way.

I’m using all free and clear for the first couple of months, then will try a regular scented soap on a couple of things (previously used gain) and see if he has a reaction to it. I have pretty sensitive skin but not to detergent so I’m hoping my son won’t either.

I use All free and clear. Never had an issue with it with my first daughter and it’s so much cheaper than baby detergent.

Definitely get baby soap. I use dreft. Also, for the first few months I’d be washing your own clothes with it. When your baby is laying on you and your clothes the regular adult soaps can give your baby a reaction! That’s what happened to my son so I started washing my clothes with his with baby detergent

Dreft is a Tide product, and I've been told it's just the same thing as tide but with a different scent, and with enzymes to help help break down spit up and poo in the wash. Hope that helps.

Regular. You baby is going to be held by you so therefor will be touching the clothes you washed in regular detergent. "Baby detergent" is just a way for people to get you to waste your money
