I try to say “I’m in my 8 month of pregnancy” instead of “I’m (this many months) pregnant”.

I just tend to say what month I'm in rather than how many months I am because this weeks/months thing gets confusing. It's a lot easier saying "I'm in my 8th month" rather than "I'm 8 months"
