Weight Loss

So I’m thinking about doing ROTC in college and I need to lose weight. The Navy ROTC program I’m looking at says that I need to be at a maximum of 152 lbs for my height (5’3). Currently I’m around 185. I have a year to do it and I’m already a cross country runner so I do exercise pretty regularly. Does anyone have any tips for weight loss? Nothing I’ve tried has been effective...
