We made it a whole year! (I have golden ( • Y • ), yay)

In addition to Kanen turning 1, yesterday also marked one whole year of breastfeeding. My first goal was 6 months, then it was a year, and now, who knows? He’s gone from 6 lbs to 23, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down or stopping. I’ve completely stopped caring about where or when I nurse him, and I haven’t used a cover in forever (I mean really, who needs them). Although it’s just something that women are biologically built to do, it’s so empowering to be able to sustain another human life with just your boobs. 💪💪 He comes to me when he’s hungry, thirsty, hurt, tired, or just because I’ve been gone all day and he missed me. I’m super glad that we’ve made it this far.
