Potty training

I want to potty train my son and idk if I should let him be bare naked or have big boy underwear on

The first two days of being naked has been awful he peed once the first day in the potty then accidents all day and same for the second day but on the second day he told me twice he went pee pee on the couch so I guess that’s good. The third day witch is today he has peed four times in the potty and a couple sprinkles in the potty and no accidents!!!!!!
