Yeast infection?

So I'm 99% sure I have my first yeast infection right now, TMI

A few days ago my vagina began hurting and was swollen a little but it was right after me and my fiance had sex so i thought we were just a little to rough. But it steadily got worse then began to itch and then yesterday i had large clumps of white discharge. I bought and used a 1 day medication so hopefully it'll clear it up. My question is, do yeast infections change your flow? I started my period today, 8 days early, and it has been really clotty. I can't afford to go to the doctor so I'm hoping this is normal.
