first placebo week in a while

i recently just skipped my period with my birth control for 4 months. at around the 3 month mark, i had dark brown / black breakthrough bleeding that lasted for 2 weeks. it’s now the second day of my placebo week, and my period still hasn’t come. is this normal? the past two days i’ve had thick white discharge too. is this a sign my period is coming, or could i be pregnant? im very serious about my birth control. i take it at the same time everyday, store it perfectly, and my boyfriend pulls out. i really don’t want any babies right now. help! is this normal? should i test?
