Does this seem infected?

My baby is 11 days old, it looks like her umbilical cord got pulled a little prematurely by her clothing or something. Underneath it looks a little yellow/whitish. I can’t tell if it’s pus or healing tissue but it’s definitely moist. We are awaiting a call back from the doctor for some advice,  but they won’t see the photo. What do you guys think?

The pediatrician told us to leave the umbilical cord be and not apply anything to it. He said that the warning signs to look out for would be redness around her belly button, hot to the touch, or pus/discharge that oozes out

Use alcohol swabs to clean! My sons looked like that and we used the swans for a few days and it dried up great.

That’s how it looks underneath. My sons looked like that and the pediatrician said it was normal but she put silver nitrate on it to dry it up and help the healing process along.

Looks normal keep a eye out for a fever and swelling which can indicate infection

Just looks like it got pulled out early. The skin around it looks great. Now that that part is exposed it should dry out pretty quick and fall out.

My daughters looked the exact same after her cord fell off at around 11 days! It healed up nicely after and there was some leftover dried stuff that came off too. I wouldnt be too concerned if it’s not hot to the touch or red and they don’t have a fever ☺️
