Is it possible my baby is nocturnal?

I sometimes feel him at night when I’m laying down but randomly I will wake up in the middle of the night and he’s flipping around like crazy. Is anyone else had this happen...I would like to feel him more but I feel like he’s up when I’m sleeping. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is normal baby behavior in the womb. 
They sleep mostly during the day due to being conforted by the rocking and go crazy when you lie down

Baby girl does the same thing....When I get home from work and sit down she goes to town. She hasn't woken me up yet, but that may be coming.

I just read babies at this stage are awake for about 6 hours a day and sleep for 18 a day. I personally don’t notice mine at night too often. But they usually have set times they wake up just like a newborn.

There’s a whole bunch of books and articles that talk about regulating baby’s sleep once they’re born. In the womb, they wake up and go to sleep as they please, but when they get out, you can do little things to regulate their circadian rhythm within the first three months. It’s fascinating!
