It also implies that ”virginity” is something to be taken or given, rather than an experience to be had by two willing participants. 
It is very possible that in this sexual encounter you broke your hymen. It can happen with fingering. My cousin is a lesbian and has been sexually active for years now, but ONLY RECENTLY had her hymen broken by a sexual partner. Does that mean she was or wasn’t a virgin before this happened??? Did her hymen FINALLY breaking invalidate her first, second, or hundredth sexual encounter because her hymen (which has been held to be the symbol of virginity throughout history) hadn’t been broken in those encounters?
