I would say just mentally prepare yourself. My first time was when I was 20 in college with the mindset that I’m ready to have sex and I’m okay with not having a real strong connection to the person- no strings attached type of thing. I know there was a person I wanted to give it to but they were far away and I wasn’t going to wait so that was a bummer lmao but in the end it’s all good. Tbh in my opinion losing your virginity is overhyped and overrated. I was just nervous because the person I did it with I met for the first time after talking for a couple months and we went right to it.
