12 weeks ultrasound this morning! They couldn’t find the heartbeat with the Doppler so they did an ultrasound. Baby was moving all over. Anyone else experience not finding heartbeat? Also gender guesses?!

They tried when I was 8+5 and couldn’t find it but didn’t do an ultrasound. I got an ultrasound elsewhere and baby was kicking and saw heartbeat, getting next ultrasound this Wednesday at 11+5!

My doctor didn’t bother with the Doppler, she said it can be difficult to find the heart beat at 12 weeks with it. So she just went straight to an ultra sound. So sounds like a common issue.

I didn't experience that but 12 weeks really is the earliest the doppler might work so it's really nothing to worry about and should work next time.
