Why would you do in this situation?

Me and my boyfriend had a disagreement a couple days ago. Yesterday he said something to me and called me his ex/ bm name. I asked him plenty of times what did he just say because I heard him I just wanted to see would he admit to it. Later on he made up some reason as to why he accidentally blurted her name out but he claims he wasn’t calling me her name and he keep saying it wasn’t intentional.

Maybe they used to fight so when annoyed her names comes to mind.
I would let it go and move on as a couple.

I'd let it go. I have accidentally called my man my ex's name before. It happens. I'd be annoyed, but I'd let it go anyway.

it was probably an honest mistake.. maybe he was thinking about her because of something that happened with their kid. its not like he’s never going to think about her. if this is the only time something like this has happened then its probably not a big deal

I would let it go, only because you said it’s his baby mother so im assuming he’s in contact with her a lot or to a certain extent and maybe he argues with her a lot🤷🏽‍♀️. If it was a ex he had no communication with and was saying her name out the blue then I’d be concerned. But I accidentally call my bf my brothers name any time we discuss a subject that I talk about with my brother or if he says something my brother would typically say, so it’s natural. My brother calls me his sister that I’m not related to name. My mom calls me all my siblings names and vice versa. It’s normal to be triggered by something someone does that reminds you of another person who commonly does that thing and you end up saying their name instead. I would let it go.
