I am a pregnant mom with a 13 month old son. I have zero friends with kids and have recently been trying to find groups and activities to take my little guy to so he can socialize and we can meet other mom/kid duos. I took him to a music group today and he screamed and cried the whole time. He never cries and is a very chill little guy. He loves to explore and play and I felt like I was chasing him all over the room trying to keep him from grabbing other peoples stuff. I was embarrassed for our being disruptive. Now I am anxious to do anymore play groups. Any advice? He is actually great at playing with other kids but in the “sit in a circle and sing songs” environment we failed miserably.
