Just found out I’m pregnant and i’m trying to apply to medicare health insurance for NJ. When I entered my information online i just kept getting random calls from people from in state and out of state. One person left a voicemail saying to call back if i was interested in the maternity insurance. But i don’t want to be scammed. Im 19 and lost, please dont judge me, can someone help me out?

Maybe go to the county and have them walk you through the application process to make sure it’s done correctly and isn’t a scam.

You need to apply for Medicaid, not Medicare. Go go your local job and family services to speak with a social worker.

Go to http://www.njfamilycare.org/default.aspx and on the left navigate hit apply. You should be good to go. It's NJ pregnant woman Medicaid. It's through DHS not social security.
