Oldest going to Kindergarten

So I’m trying to get my oldest ready for kindergarten. He has all of his school supplies, wants to use his backpack from preschool (it’s very very gently used so I’m okay with it), we still have to go get him a little bit more clothes but I can’t think of anything else. School starts early this year in my area (August 12th), and I only have a month left. I want to make sure I have everything prepared so does anyone have any tips on how to get us both ready, and if there’s anything I’m missing??

We plan on getting him a haircut the week before school starts, and I’m letting him pick out a new pair of shoes for school to get him more excited. I just don’t know what else I need to get prepared with, this is my first kid going to school and he was only in preschool for a few weeks because I’m a stay at home mom and we didn’t feel the need for it. He did really well while he was there though!
