Boyfriend’s mother

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and half now, and the times his mother has spoken more than hi or goodbye I could probably count on one hand. She hasn’t gotten to know me doesn’t ask me questions I just get a hi when I go to his house and a goodbye when I’m leaving.

My boyfriend and I are 20 and we went on a four day holiday, now his mum is allowing him to go to america with his friends and she’s paying for all his airfares. I said to him we should go to Bali next and he said he had to ask his mum and his mum said no. I was disappointed.

I don’t know if I’m just over sensitive but I honestly, I’ve never felt welcome since day 1 and every time she shuts down our plans I just feel like she’s trying to interfere so I walk away. I don’t want to bring it up with my boyfriend because its his mum and that’s all he’s got but I seriously don’t know what to do. It’s gets to me, and when it does I put a wall up and just distance myself from my boyfriend.
