Baby coming early?

Hi everyone, FTM here. So yesterday I went for my check up, told my gynae that I've been experiencing some pelvic pain, he asked me to lay down touched the area that I said was feeling sore, he then proceeded to do ultrasound and said that, the baby position/head is pretty low and he thinks that I might be delivering in the first week of August instead my actual EDD which is 18th August. I am happy actually but also a little nervous, has anyone been told this and it really happened? Another reason I'm asking this is that husband frequently fly out of country for days, he applied leave on the 2nd and 3rd week but not the 1st week of August and I would definitely want him to be there when I deliver.
