New birth control

I’m almost 16 and my OBGYN just gave me birth control today. She told me to start taking it next Sunday after my period ends but I feel like it’s going to come early so does that mean I start it earlier than next Sunday or do I still start it on Sunday? Like if my period comes early and I end it before Sunday do I start it the same day my period ends or the day after it ends?
